Mercury/FX400
is a Bank back office maintenance system. The system handles complete back office
Operations The system comprises of various modules like Remittances(Inward and
Outward), Deposits, Treasury Operation(Dealings). Remittances module deals with
the inward and outward clearances. All entries are passed through various mirror
accounts, daybooks and ledgers that are maintained at FD level.. The Foreign Exchange
remittance information will be communicated to the FD from the foreign bank maintaining
the account, in various designated currencies.
The debit/credit information
is sent to the FD by respective corresponding bank on a daily basis. This inward
remittance information is notified to various customers through their respective
branches. The FD subsequently waits for the disposal Instructions from these branches.
The disposal instructions may come in various forms for Different purposes. For
credits made against cheques/DDs and for trade deals, the FD does not wait for
disposal instructions.
If disposal instruction may be for full conversion
and this has to be reported to the dealer for conversion. Once converted, the
dealer passes on the rate of conversion. Once the deal is complete, the appropriate
mirror accounts and daybooks are updated, and an IBA(Inter Bank Advise) is generated
for intimations to the brances. |
